1 Year Old

That's right, that tiny baby we were so excited to meet, and so completely distraught by having him stay in the hospital, the one who makes us laugh all the time, and occassionaly cry, is 1.  He made it to his first birthday (in other words I made it to his birthday, without being too overly obsessive or controlling or crazy mommy who never lets her kid do anything, Okay, I made it with only kind of being that mom)  Anyway, it was great fun! We went to dinner, we got cupcakes, we had a party, Thomas had his first bloody nose (it must be some sort of right of passage for boys, right?) it was great.  In other firsts, he talks! He says "Hi" and "Bye, Bye" and "Dance" and "Mom"  Sometimes its more clear than others, but he does it!  I really love it, he is growing so fast! It makes me happy and sad (I think I'm bipolar).  He LOVES cuddling with everything, pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, towels, clothes mom has just folded (that's his favorite).  He grabs it, throws it down, and then holds tight and puts his head down and smiles, it's adorable!  Here is a fun 1 year later type shot (we just did family pictures again)
